Jimmy's celebrates Mardi Gras for the 2 weeks preceding Fat Tuesday. Special dishes are featured along with Hurricanes and Sazeracs from the bar, and beer from the Abita Springs Brewing Company. Decorations abound and there are beads for all.

There is a wine dinner every month at Jimmy's. They are usually held on the third Sunday of each month except December Six wines and five courses are arranged around a theme to enhance all.
